APPEARANCE

A young male whose most prominent feature is his long hair, tied by headpieces called kenseikan, which symbolizes his position as nobility and head of the Kuchiki Clan. His hair style has his bangs combed towards the left, almost covering the left eye while leaving the right visible so his vision would not be completely hindered. His eyes possess a ash gray color in them, contrasting his appearance covered in white and black. Though his frame looks rather thin, his body is decently built, muscles well-toned enough to survive even without his zanpakutou.

As far as clothing is concerned, by default he enjoys sporting a full attire generally in black and white, his upper body adorn with a light leather hakama usually opened up to the part where the xiphoid process of his ribcage is located with a captain haori on top. The collar of the captain vest is trimmed in gold and left up to cover the sides of his neck, and can be secured by two buttons if he wishes to close his outfit. Although not obvious, he doesn’t wear any undershirt below this layer of clothing, leaving his chest bare if the apparel is ever opened. Both hands are clad in fingerless silk gloves used to keep his own hands clean.

His lower body is dressed in well-fitted black pants and sandles. Around his waist is a black silk belt with a long sash attached to it, extending up to just a few inches above his sandles. Other attires include him wearing simple jackets, hoodies, T-shirts, sweaters, scarves, jeans, and other basic attires when trying to go undercover in the human world.

PERSONALITY

Byakuya is probably one of the most prideful Captain's out of the entire Gotei 13, Mostly due to his upbringing. The first example of this is while he was a child. He was often visited by the girl known as Yoruichi, On one particular occassion she stole his hairtie and said "If the hier of the Kuchiki House can have his hair tie stolen by a girl at play, Then I fear for the Kuchiki House". This was a pretty big example as he swore to make her pay for it. Another example is done quite often with Ichigo, Ichigo often just calls Byakuya, Byakuya, Instead of Byakuya Kuchiki. Because of this Byakuya views Ichigo with some pretty serious disdain, or hatred, However despite this, Byakuya does not let this affect how he talks to Ichigo, Always refering to Ichigo as Ichigo Kurosaki. It's also shown through his countless interaction's with the various Gotei 13 Captain's as he always refers to them with their first and last name. Another example was in his fight with Zommari, Though it wasn't very evident in the fight, At the end When Zommari lectured him about how Shinigami kill hollows, Byakuya stated he did not fight him because he was a hollow, Rather because he attacked his Pride, referring to Rukia.

Byakuya can sometimes come off as being cold or icy, This is again due to his noble upbringing. He tries to carry his potion with great honor, That being that he tries to make sure law and order are kept at all costs, Criminal's are criminal's after all to him, And all criminal's must be punished. This is first shown when his sister Rukia stayed in the human world too long and broke the law by giving her powers to a Human boy, Ichigo Kurosaki. In his fight with Ichigo, He stated he was going to first kill him, And then kill Rukia with his own hands, This was the first example of his cold nature, Ichigo confronted him on this to further show it by asking him how a Brother would willingly kill his own Sister, Byakuya responded that it must be done to maintain peace in the Soul Society. Feeling that part of a Captain's job is to ensure his Lieutentents duties are done, And that if someone of his standing doesn't show a good example, That nobody will.

Byakuya is almost always portrayed as being a very serene and apathetic person, This is due to his Aristocratic nature. Even when deeply conflicted, His attitude and demeanor almost never change so he appears to almost always be calm, Even in battle. Bordering upon arrogance, He seems to almost always be indifferent about situation's, No matter what they are. Zommari called him arrogant in their battle, And Byakuya didn't even seem to be phased by it. Perceptive enough people might be able to determine weather or not Byakuya is actually annoyed by something unless he blatantly shows it, Which, unless you've disrespected him, He almost never does.

He almost never underestimates someone, But this isn't due to him being cautious, It's due to him showing respect for his opponents abilities and powers, Being a very perceptive person, He can generally tell how strong someone is when battling them and on the turn of a dime. This was first demonstrated in his fight with Ichigo, At first when it was first revealed, Ichigo's Bankai to him seemed small and pathetic, However when Ichigo proved that he could close range very quickly, He showed respect towards Ichigo's Bankai once more and only underestimated him again a single time, It was when Ichigo's Hollow took over, That Byakuya was caught off guard by underestimating him by assuming he was done for because of his sluggish movements.

However despite this he is shown to have respect for everyone, Even his enemies. This is shown in every fight he has since he always gives his opponents a fair fight and always shows them the same level of power, if not greater then them. Aside from fighting however Byakuya is a rather enjoyable person to be around. He loves Chocolate and loves Cherry blossoms. He adores his adopted sister Rukia and has shown his love by seemingly rescuing her and on occassions sacrificing his body to save her. The best example of that would be when Gin Ichimaru was told by Sosuke Aizen to kill her, When Gin attacked her, Byakuya moved in the way to shield her with his own body and take the blow.

Internally Byakuya is always thinking of something, Always examining his opponent or who he is talking too. His highly perceptive nature does not however leave him open to attacks, He's constantly scanning the battlefield for all possible openings his opponent might try to use, And he's always using that to his advantage by covering his blind spots. His pride is generally what motivates him into battle or a conversation, Weather it be someone attacking his pride, Or weather it be someone insulting it by saying his name incorrectly, His Pride is the biggest thing that makes him tick. Kenpachi Zaraki is someone he hates the absolute most, Viewing him as nothing more then a brutish ape. Another thing he cannot stand is anyone trying to break the law, As explained before, He has a very high sense of law and order and will do almost anything to ensure peace, law, and order, are kept in tact.

Description: Essentially a doubled version of #33, Sōkatsui, this spell fires a single streams of blue fire at Cero speed with greater potency than the single-shot variety to up to 40m. With incantation the fire gains more momentum up to x5 Cero Speed and only stops when it reaches its maximum range of 50m, running through targets as necessary.

Description: Forms a box 20 metres squared with a height of 30 metres of black energy around a target at Cero speed. This is then pierced by dozens of 20m long black energy "spears", to lacerate the one inside from head to toe. The box and spear is flame-like and so it can be escaped, but Tier IV will be sustatined and equally advantaged opponents will suffer second degree burns. With incantation, the spears and the box are solid, the former given additional piercing qualities. In order to escape a Tier VI technique must be used to create a gap, but won't suffer any burns.

Description: A light based Kido, similar to the Rikujokoro technique. This attack is one in which the user summons several spikes of light from below the opponent, appearing as if it were to stab the opponent. However, instead it wraps around the target upon contact, binding the user heavily. In total, there are 13 spikes. These are very strong and difficult to break, and if a Zanpakuto contacts them, it's wrapped by the light instead of deflecting the light.

Each of these one-hundred beams have massive binding properties that can pin even the mightiest of foes down. Hyakubai Saikin requires the utmost concentration, so much that even Taichō class Shinigami would have great difficulty moving their hands without the Bakudō wavering or snapping. A foolish caster may even find themselves bound by casting the Kidō.

Eishōhaki (詠唱破棄, "Incantation Abandonment"): is the skill in which a Kidō practitioner skips using a spoken incantation completely, but it drastically weakens the spell. This is applied as a 1-2 tier drop in the spells power depending on ones Kidou mastery, 2 for Beginner up to Advanced, and 1 for Mastered and above. The number of blades are largely multiplied and can move up to two times its original speed for each additional hand he uses to control the blades. In addition this technique grants Byakuya enough pedals to provide a seemingly inpecabble offence and defence as Byakuya can now cover his entire body, while still being able to send tidal waves of cherry blossom blades to cut them down.However, the safe restriction zone of 85cm still applies.

These blades can be called down at will and are formed of spiritual energy. It is important to note that they can revert back just as quickly into their pedal form, although the most deadly part of this technique is that every single one of the one thousand blades have the same attack level. Senkei is a technique that he rarely ever reveals unless he has sworn to kill someone.

Description: This ability condenses his entire Bankai into one potent sword, Vastly increasing his devastating power. The way it's shaped has earned it's name ''White Emperor Sword''. This technique is mostly used as a last resort to end a duel: much like a decisive blow during a samurai or cowboy duel. A single slash from this ability has the potential to deal lethal injuries.

There was no thunder, but there didn't need to be. The wind howled miles above anyone's head and the rain made such a ruckus by itself. It fell unrelenting down on Seireitei, staining white walls a dull grey. Water poured down the halls, soaking the shoes and socks of any who happened to be unfortunate enough to be out walking. Fortunately, Byakuya had just returned home. He slipped in through the gates and like usually his squad was as busy as ever. Setting his half soaked Captain's Haori on the hook near the door along with the scarf, Leaving him in just his Juban and Hakama on that was underneath his Haori. He moved about to his room, Taking his shower and dressing once more as he heard the front door, One of his servants answered the door as he was moving down "Message, For Kuchiki Taicho from Hitsugaya Taicho" The messanger said, Holding the message out for the servant to grasp, However, As she made a reach for it, Byakuya spoke "Hitsugaya Taicho?" Byakuya asked, Moving over towards the door and dismissing the servant "Hai, Kuchiki Taicho" He handed the letter over to Byakuya who was swift to open it. His eyes skimmed past the note for a brief moment 'An urgent matter to discuss in 3 days' He thought, A rather...unusual request all things considered. It wasn't often that any Taicho would request aid in such an unusual and indirect fashion, More 'under cover' one might say. Either way, Byakuya nodded "Very well, contact and tell him that I'll be there when the time comes" He told the messanger who swiftly nodded and vanished to deliver the return message to the central intelligence communication centre's office.

The day was just as monotone as the others, despite the heavy rain outside. By this point Byakuya completely dried himself off and retreated back into his own room and kneed before a small cupboard and opened it. Lighting one of the incense burners and clasping his hands together, the captain bowed his head slightly in a solemn fashion as he began his prayer. It was very rare that anyone didn't know who the women in the picture was, It was his wife, Hisana. Who looked remarkably similar to his adopted sister, Rukia Kuchiki and for good reason. Rukia was Hisana's baby sister, Who Byakuya adopted upon his wife's dying wish.

Byakuya stood a few moments later and kept the cupboard open before sitting down as he grasped a quill and began to practice some calligraphy as he contemplated upon the suspicious invitation he just received. What could be so important that Hitsugaya send him a letter in privacy instead of telling him in person? Was this a message to tell him to be on guard or that someone unexpected is going to arise?
